Due to the role independence of the XML and paper based reminder standards this section describes the ATL COM reminder request module suitable for all roles, eg. physicians, hospitals,....   Architectural blueprint The input will be supplied through a programmatic interface. Thereafter the data is transformed into a standards-compliant XML reminder stream that is sent to the intermediate. Alternatively, one can force the reminder module to send the input to a print engine producing the appropriate reminder on paper.
